22 year old singer/songwriter, Florrie Ransom, composes, performs and produces her entire discography herself. Drawing influence from Bon Iver, Ben Howard, Noah Kahan, Janis Ian and Laura Marling, Florrie combines traditional folk with modern, alternative elements to create a unique and compelling sound. Her intimate live performance style has captivated audiences across the south. With soulful vocals and powerful lyricism, Florrie Ransom orchestrates a haunting and emotive performance.
Since her debut EP, Incurable Affliction, in 2023 she has since released another EP, By Design in 2024 with tracks from both EPs being featured on BBC introducing. 2024 also saw her first festival appearances at Haslemere Fringe Festival and Icebreaker Festival. In December 2024 she released a Christmas single; a beautiful and nostalgic cover of I'll Be Home for Christmas with an original B-side, Wait For Me Outside. This single gained momentum after featuring as track of the week on BBC Introducing in it's first week since release, leading to 3 radio interviews and a live performance of the song on Lucy Ambache's afternoon show on BBC Solent.
She kicked off 2025 with a new single, Say When, which was also track of the week on BBC Introducing for the second consecutive month. Having headlined Icebreaker Festival in February 2025 and playing at Victorious Festival in August
she hopes to continue this success in 2026 with her third EP Ley Lines. The first single, The Last Living Apple Tree was released in April 2026 and was chosen as track of the week on BBC Introducing - her third consecutive release
to achieve this. The second single from the EP, Beaded Blanket is out 19.06.26.
